Finally, after several years, the Autobox Hipak Kinetic 2600 corrugated machine has been delivered and installed. This machine replaces the two lightweight machines, the rotary creaser and the beam slotter which were used for small run orders. When training is complete and machine is fully operational the Kinetic 2600 will convert board grades from ‘E’ flute through to heavy duty including triplewall and with its advanced control system, automatic servo driven set up, automatic feed and hand hole capabilities, productivity, quality and capacity will all be improved. This substantial investment is the next stage in productivity improvements at Bampton Packaging with more to follow.
